A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I'd let them hatch some eggs if the dag blasted chickens would stay out of their boxes. Its normal to see at least two hens sitting with them most days

I actually find all the incubator talk interesting. And I wait, impatiently, for your bug eye baby pics. However, since here I sit with neither tom nor incubator, just wanted you to know I enjoyed the most scrumptious mushroom/swiss turkey egg omlet this morning. My consolation prize!

Ralphie, my Marans have been way more cold hardy than my legbars.

I am trying to avoid the single combs, my Marans did fine in the cold, but I have cuckoo marans. Not SOP. and of the two hens one lays 2 eggs a week when she feels generous and the other has not laid one in 3 weeks.

I might try to find some Marans if I can find some decent show stock for next year. I was hoping someone knew of a dark layer without a single comb.

Poults are notorious for doing that.

So far this year, I have not lost any poults that managed to hatch surprisingly. It's kinda weird. I'm not complaining though!

Speaking of poults, my little unique one has earned the name Sprinkles since someone said that she looks like she has chocolate Sprinkles down her back lol.

I made a record speed sale on Friday. I actualy had to BLOW DRY 2 poults because they were leaving at a certain time but hadn't competely dried yet lol
