Ralphie....whats going on with your breeding program? Are you going back to the calico flock? I know you were debating it. Will you be showing any of the turkeys this year? If a duck can win Best in Show show at the Ohio Nationals... I'll bet Snitch can win BIS at your local shows! Every judge in the country knows something other than a chicken went BIS in Ohio. That should open doors at local shows!!

Yesterday all the turkeys decided to sit on top of the dog kennel that holds my mean rooster, Boonie and aggravated him for hours yelping at him. Soooo, this morning I had the bright idea to make them a platform since the kennel is covered in 4 inch welded wire, some chicken netting and a few narrow pieces of wood and they just weebled and wobbled walking across it. I made the platform, put it on top of the kennel, anchored it down with zipties (going to add wire tomorrow)(but I am OVER 60 and didn't get it done today!), let the turkeys out and one headed straight up to the platform. The other three hung around with me on the ground, then another got up, then they all got down. I was like "well, there ya guys go. You can sit up there and be comfortable.

I repurpose a lot of wood!

I got it up by myself - even though I am OLD!!

Mean Boonie and his lady (he will eat you alive if he gets a chance!

She ran across the yard from the turkey pen and straight up to the platform! I was so pleased she seemed pleased!

But then after a couple of ups and downs, they chilled out with me for awhile....

Then they all went to the grape arbor instead.
