I don't. I never have little ones around at this time of the year but a person could take a piece of plywood and draw two circles on it. Set the bucket on the plywood upside down and trace the bucket on the plywood. Draw another line parallel to that one on the inside about 1" to 1 1/2" in. Mark four lips 90° apart from each other and extend them outside the bigger circle by 1". Make these lips approximately 2" wide. Cut out the pattern so that the lip areas are part of the inner circle. What you should have left is a piece of plywood that will cover the inner part of the bucket with an open area 1" to 1 1/2" wide everywhere but where the lips are. Attach a piece of 1"x2" on the bottom of each of the lips. The lips will rest on the bucket edge and the attached 1"x2"s will keep it from being knocked off of the bucket. I hope that you can understand this. If not, I will try to make one and take some pictures but it may be some time before I get around to it.I have told him bout your buried buckt. He isnt so afraid to use it on turkeys or chickens but baby buns he is. We have quite a few buns and more due this week. How do you keep younglings out of it?
I've been thinking about doing something like this for ducks.I don't. I never have little ones around at this time of the year but a person could take a piece of plywood and draw two circles on it.
