A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Burp. Boy the kraut & sausage hit the spot! Thanks R2elk! Ate way too much.

Girls ate their weight of baby clover & fleabane. Mom, dad, kid in stroller, plus little guy on scooter....turned the corner onto the street & started yelling to his parents...their out! Already had to little girls picking leaves for them...so Daisy got her kid fix in.

Beaver! Wow. How cool!

Sfgwife...so would you eat beaver again ?

I would! And i still have two more meals of it in the freezer. (Forgot it was in there til i cleaned out for pig). It really was very good! It fell apart shredded like beef does and had more flavor. A slightly different but not a lot different. My mama... who never tries ANYTHING weird like that. Heck it took her a year before she would eat the chickens we grew here. She took a bite before my son could tell her what it was and she was all about it... til he had this crazy grin on his face and he told her what she was eatin. Then it was horrible lol! She still refuses to eat rabbit though. The pigs we did she is eatin though. I got hollared at the other day for givin a friend two pounds of sausage.... that i had better not give it all away she needed it. Hahahaha.

This time of year I let my turkey girls hang out in my garden/yard. Due to the fact everything is underground. You would think they'd take advantage of it....but no....both are standing on my backporch trying to open the door. And happily pooping everywhere...

Pebbles is in heaven this morning. My new year's hatch yeilded 4 Olive egger cockerels. So guess who gets to raise them? It took all of two seconds for the babies to coin her mom and her to start talking to them and start huffing at me lol. I'll try to get pictures eventually but who knows when they'll venture out from under her. They just hatched yesterday!
