A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Pics of my turkeys. They actually cooperated so I could get a front, back, and side view of the red Bronze. Is the striping on the feathers normal? It looks a little like penciling to me but I'm not as familiar with turkey colors.

Sara....your turkeys look good!!

So....the heat & humidity continues. Plus, looks like we will get a ton of rain from whatever that is in the gulf. Blah...

Been hanging with the poults as soon as the sun is up trying to avoid the afternoon heat. Also been hanging with them in the evenings before they go to bed. They are still growing those feathers....so I'm not handling them much. Fine by Daisy! She takes the opportunity to hop in my lap...and the fan!

Been awfully quiet around here today! Where is everybody?
Dealing with the heat here. Lots of panting going on! And waiting for the hurricane. Just never ending fun!

Did get out this evening with Daisy. Not too many folks around....too hot. Daisy grazed like a starving bird! She also caught a few little things flying around. She went to bed happy.

I didn't do much today either. Just too hot. Sprayed birds, changed out water containers, reloaded the duck pond with fresh water, hid in the AC.

Did get two phone calls. One sister just found out her brand-new roommate is an addict - and another sister fell off her boat and broke her arm. Things tend to stay "interesting" - even on slow hot summer days. :O
