That little poult head peeking out from under Romeo's wing is too cute. I'm fascinated with his determination to keep them warm & cozy. I love those sweet mom & poult pics...but he beats them all. If I remember....I think Ralphie had a tom who threw a wing over a poult at night.

Going to be close to 70 today. Perfect day for Daisy to go to her first adult birthday party. This neighbor really likes the turkeys. Always stops by to visit with Daisy. She called last night to talk about what time Daisy should come over. She can't wait for those kids to meet her. Sort of can't believe I'm talking about taking a turkey to a party. What has happened to me??

Btw, I'm not happy....i want it to be 70 here! It's 29° outside here but I'm at work, working in freezers that range from -5 to 10°....

Sigh one of the 5 poults that hatched has suicides already by napping outside the infrared heater and getting chilled. Why are new poults Soo Soo dumb?

Yes. It was the second yellow one. I'm not seeing a defined back stripe yet, but they both have faint eye circles. If they do have a stripe, it might be too light if they are blue sweetgrass. Still have one, though, and three blacks. Oldest is enamored with the black one that has a skull face.
