The chicken calculator has like 15 variables for each bird - I tried to figure it out.....and then decided that a drink sounded better. I have no idea how to operate it, obviously requires much more chicken knowledge than I have! I found it on one of the BYC threads and quickly gave up :/

I've been using the chicken calculator a bit, but it is so complicated though

. I did figure out a color chicken I'm gonna try to breed for (e+/e+ Mh/Mh choc/choc)

Here's another genotype question for all the gene experts. Is there anyway to tell if a bird is split to anyhing?

In pigeons ash reds that are split to blue or brown have flecks of that color in their tail feathers, I have no idea about any other poultry though. I guess test breeding might be the only way.

Wow, all of a sudden this thread got complicated. Yall, (my new found southern speak) are way beyond me. I never even knew there was a chicken calculator.

I feel like the kid left behind doing remedial math while you guys do Quantum Physics.

I guess I should have known there was a way to figure out chicken genes and color considering there are so many sex linked traits.

Is there anyway to run the caculator to see if the offspring will be a belly button or not?

Memphis thanks for the warm welcome to Tn. We were about to be scammed last night by one of yoiur fine residents. We jumped in a taxi after leaving the Ryman, ( see how I say that like Carrie would) "the Ryman". The taxi driver started the meter and it said "$7.10". I asked him why that said $7.10 instead of the $3.10 the last taxi started us at. He gave us some excuse about he forgot where he was and thought he was at the airport and it starts at $7.10 at the airport so he reset it.

I had a good way for him to tell if he was at the airport, If he saw lots of airplanes parked around him, airport, lots of huge movie star type buses, Downtown.

He got real talkative at that point, I think he was trying to make us forget he tried to stiff us. I paid him about 50 cents over the posted rate. The first dirver I gave 5 bucks, Stiff me, and I will stiff you,,

Memphis, I see a lot of no dogs allowed signs down here, does that mean if I take JJ on my next vacation he can go into those places? I see a few no pets, but who would consider JJ a pet?

I noticed at the Ryman there is a rail all around the balcony just in front of it, I assume that is for turkeys to roost on during the show. Maybe we could all take our turkeys there some evening to enjoy the show. I can imagine Carrie would love to sing to a rail full of turkeys.

I have no idea what the plans are for today, 50% of us have not woken up yet, The oither 50% has been up for hours drank a dozen cups of coffee and is ready to go. I am hoping my new woman will get up earlier.

No word from my turkey whisperer so I assume they are all doing great. I need pictures of turkeys. Please post them, Otherwise I may have to find a petting zoo and crawl in the turkey pen.

I wonder what they would think about a fat old man hogging the turkeys and keeping the kids away?
