I normally see breeding take place from as much as one month to two weeks before laying begins.

Pebbles and Blackberry have stopped laying for now. I guess they both decided it's too early for that. But I did finally get saddles on Blackberry and Molly lol

Here's Fred, our Standard Bronze. He thinks he's a rooster and doesn't like it when we get near his girls. He even has a hen (chicken) that sleeps on his perch with him outside at night.

He's a sweet boy! Watch out for him, however. If he has no female turkeys, he might accidentally squash a chicken in attempting to breed. He could really use a turkey lady, for the future safety of your chicken ladies!
