The deeper red gives them more of a defined look between the white and red. That is incredibly beautiful.I'm currently working towards a darker Harvey Speckled line.
I think they look even more spectacular than the original lines.

All of my Slates had blue eyes. You had to be really close to see what the eye color was.Blue eyes are most common in black-based whites.

A couple years ago I was indexing the eye colors of my turkeys.All of my Slates had blue eyes. You had to be really close to see what the eye color was.
Even the Self Blue that I got from Porter's was blue eyed. It is going to take awhile to go back through the pics to find ones that show the eye color. There may be some in this thread and in my R2elk album.A couple years ago I was indexing the eye colors of my turkeys.
The only blue eyed ones I ever had where black-based whites, or other mutations on the white locus in combination with black.

I checked a few of your pictures.Even the Self Blue that I got from Porter's was blue eyed. It is going to take awhile to go back through the pics to find ones that show the eye color. There may be some in this thread and in my R2elk album.
