The surprising thing is that all 3 laid their egg and managed to get out of the nest box without breaking any of the eggs.

I have been leaving 4 or 5 marked eggs in each of the nests that they are sitting and collecting any new eggs each morning and evening until I know they are fully committed to sitting full time. Looks like they are they were now both on their nests all day yesterday and on there this morning. I will give it another day or so to be sure then give them each a dozen fresh eggs to incubate/hatch. Do you let any of your hens hatch for you?

Yes. Not usually on purpose, though.

I got some better pictures of his primaries today. He wouldn't let me get a frontal strutting picture. I'm still leaning towards blackwing bronze based

Do you think my assessment is wrong?I'm just looking for more ideas. Could he be black based (B-b) or black wing bronze based? (-b-b) he has no barring but his tail feathers make me think black winged bronze based, but I'm no expert.

His female counterpart is next to him. I'm wondering if he might be just a blue winged Narragansett .

Or a rusty blue winged Narragansett.
