A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

It's not really a stripe. Just a small spot. I can't math how a sweetgrass would come from two Narragansetts. If they both are bb1 Ccg nn (n-) they could potentially throw royal palms. Otherwise she has been jumping the fence to get in with the red sweetgrass. 🤔
I'm not saying it's a Sweetgrass, just that Sweetgrass have a "stripe" on their backs. A spot is not a stripe but that still doesn't fit in with any Royal Palm poults that I have had had.

It's a mystery. I'm not sure I will keep it and grow it out or not. I'd like to, but I don't want to accumulate too many.

Found where I read it this is from porters on description of Royal Palms. Poult color/pattern at hatch is yellow downed with or without a single black strip going down it's back.
That seems like a good possibility that's what the poult is then. I've always said the hen looks like she is carrying cg. This more or less just proves it. She looks a lot more grey than other Narragansett hens I've seen.

I have never seen it in mine but either it can happen or that is a typo on porters' info. :idunno
