A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Was gonna. Give up on palms for the year after tom died as result of ill placed peck during a fight. Hens nest was a bust.

But came across a year old trio for less than 100.

So I pick them up monday and gonna try my luck again.

I hope your hatch goes great Ralph!
What kind of incubator are you using? That is now a thread on hatching and a bunch of people who are having problems are getting help with tweeking their incubators.

I have 3 incubators, one I use strictly for a hatcher. I am trying staggered hatches and that could be the problem. I am hatching turkey, Chicken and Guinea eggs at the same time. I move them 3 days before hatching date to the hatcher.

The hatcher is a little giant. The other two are innovators???? maybe, hard plastic case..

I am 1600 miles from them right now, so hard to check for sure.

Are you doing a dry hatch or do you add water for the incubation?

I have 2 hova bators innovators. I kept getting such bad hatch rates no matter how I tried to hatch in them. Some people do great hatches with them.

I do dry hatch till lock down then I add water to 60% humidity.

Not that I know much but 60% wasn't enough for my hatches.. I got way better results bumping it up to 65-70...68 seemed to be the sweet spot with this last hatch.. Got another round going into lockdown tomorrow morning so we shall see if that theory holds

Does your incubator that you use for hatching have a fan? I have the ability to unplug the fan in one of my incubators, horrible hatch when I did that, now I leave the fan going. I run just the basic Hovabators

I have added a tad of water once or twice, my humidity runs 25-35% on its own.

I have a fan and leave it on. I tried it without the fan once and it got worse!
The humidity depends on the humidity in the air around your room and in your home. We have very high humidity here. That is probably the difference. :)

My ambient humidity is 40-75 It varies , but inside the incubators stays fairy flat.
