Oh I hope Coffee takes one! She would be a good turkey moma. Are you keeping all the hens?

She was going to get one for Thanksgiving but I decided they were too small to process then.

I am keeping all the hens, I hope to sell eggs and poults, (the ones that are not unique to my flock). With 11 hens laying this spring I should get several hundred eggs!

Does Coffee know how different turkeys are from chickens? They are so much more fun!

I am sure she does, she posts here and has seen mine a couple times.. I have told her and everyone with chickens if I could only keep one, the turkeys would stay.

LOL Turkeys would love to live indoors. I have them looking in here all day long... BTW I might have made my wife's "no turkeys on the deck rule" a little harder to enforce...


When they were on the deck I opened the door and threw them a bowl of Bread Crumb Dressing (the dry stuff).. They loved it.

How many are you incubating? All that you get by Sunday ? You'll be up to your eyeballs in little Adam babies!

Memphis, Porter is the one I recommended to Coffee. I really would not call him a tolerant, but he is not a belly button. I am sure she could get him upgraded.

The other one I hope she considers is Ginger, he really wants to be a tolerant or lapper. I would hate to have to eat either one, but I will.

I told her I would sell her 2 hens, I told her I was not planning to sell any hens but I would let her have 2.


Next thing I know she is getting 3...


Then she mentioned she wants, pigs, Peacocks, cows, and I do not recall what all else....

I hope it works for her.

I told her to ask you how the calculator works, I am not good at explaining that stuff.
