A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I was looking at pics of Bourbon Red toms non of them had the lighter red fluff at the end of the feathers. I also noticed that it is normal for Buff Bourbons and Bourbons can have a few white feathers in the center of the tail and some are all white.

I ran the pictures side by side, I  think Adam is special and not just a bourbon red..  The tail looks wrong and the shading is off.. ( of course the normal, I could be 100% wrong on any of this.)

I notice that when he first arrived. I just figured he was just want from quality breeding buy now this is really getting interesting!

LOL...I just noticed the turkey hen photo bombing Adams picture. Lower left!

That looks like Sweet Pea lol. I didn't even notice that until you guys started analyzing the pictures. I'm not very observant, obviously.

Keep analyzing guys! Hopefully Porter speaks up soon!

Thanks R2elk.

I was read in your comments on the blue slate hen weights. So there is another hen laying. Wonder where that hen lives.

LOL I saw you posted and was all excited to think you were entering an opinion on Adam, and then I read this. It was like someone telling me there is no Santa!

I don't believe that Adam is a pure Bourbon Red. He definitely is not one that I would choose for breeding purposes. I have seen far too many turkeys which do not fit the standard being sold as pure Bourbon Reds and people continue breeding them and passing them off as Bourbon Reds.

This was my second Bourbon Red tom. My third had even more white on his tail feathers.

Ok now add on to everything else I just caught Mars eating an egg. Now I know of one remedy but wanted to ask and see if any of you good folks might know of another remedy. Is this a lack of something in her diet or could it be stress related?

R2elk-your Bourbon reds are gorgeous! Unfortunately, I didn't get to choose him, he was sent to me. He's still a handsome guy.

Porter replied! He didn't give it away yet though. He's trying to see what other people say before he says.
