A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Yep I think he knows and is testing his limits with you now. He probably is thinking whoever this Tina is she won't let you put him in the freezer .. He thinks He is going to be Top Turkey so he better start acting like it.. Little does he know I will be in charge even if I have to make myself a feathered headband , goobleing and chase him around the yard till he figures it out

That created quite the picture :lau

Went over to the new farm today and the barn I was going to redo for Porter and his girls I think just needs to be torn down. So till I get something else built for them I'm going to set up the corn crib it's plenty big enough for them.

and Ralphie.. if you look at the ground it has all that beautiful sand instead of pretty black dirt....gotta love Isanti...

That stinks that you'll have to tear down the barn but at least the corn crib will work :)

I have a different take on Porter. Poor guy is clearly crying out for attention. All the other turkeys left the deck. But not Porter. He was waiting for you. He saw you carry JJ from the fence the other night. He just wants to be a Lapper too! He wants attention!

Dang these turkeys are taking their sweet time molting! Poor Daisy is a walking pin cushion. Annie molted a few weeks prior to Daisy but she still has a bunch of pins and her wings have away to go. Why are they molting in late January /early February? Isn't it kind of late?

Coffee DO NOT TEAR down the barn..yet.

I cannot believe it is too far gone for birds, nothing ever is.. I am so ready to go see the place!!

I have figured out Porter's problem Memphis. He is having abandonment issues. He saw his new Mommy and Daddy here the other day. His Mommy told him how cute he was and how much she liked him. Talked nice to him. Then took a couple little chicks and left. I am betting Porter is acting up, because he thinks his Mommy likes the little roosters better than she likes him!

Memphis I have a RIR that is in full molt, She looks terrible, and molting this time of year in Mn, is not a good thing. Luckily for her it is relatively warm for us this year.

Ralph, you may have hit the nail on the head with Porter. Maybe you need to be his substitute moma until Coffee can take him. :)

Yeah...just thought it was weird both girls are molting now. But I don't know what makes a turkey/chicken start their molt. There must be some kind of internal trigger.

Hi all! Loved all the pics!!

Ralph I think your CLB prices are perfect! U should have no trouble swlling such pretty birds!

Thanks, I am having no problem selling them. I just wish more people wanted the boys.

I set 9 eggs and 7 hatched. I have 4 girls and 3 boys from them. That is 77.7 % hatch rate, so I am happy with that. I was hoping for 100%.

When did you last look at the prices on the Craigslist ad Holm?

After consulting with a couple people on surviving Mn in private messages I changed the prices. I am still 1/2 of what anyplace I could find on the internet and I could not find a place in MN selling CLBs.

I am on the St.Cloud craigslist. I will delete it before too long and put it on the Minneapolis one. I always start on St. Cloud, because I like that one better, but I get more responses when I put things on the Minneapolis one.

Coffee, I am packing Porter's jammies and he is coming down this afternoon. Do you have his room ready?
