A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

We home school our son. So we want him to care for turkey and life other pets.sciences class and nurturing how to care how to make food how to grow food for animal.parts of the body. How to treat an injured animal . How to burry animal. How to do a real business . Post ads how to give information how to budget your money. He gets 20.00 from chicken eggs. From a friend. He can budget his money to learn something else feed supplement first aid equipment ect. If he wants to try a new pet he will save his money to buy a turkey. He buys the fences and other tools he needs for his project .

I've thought of doing it thar way but I have people that want the culled ones for snake feed. Do you think the chemicals would mess with the snakes at all? That's the only problem I have with it. We're going to build a gas chamber to cull with CO2

What would you use for the co2. Dry ice or bottles like they use on mig and tig welders.

Example he wants a turkey the turkey cost 20.00 plus shipping cost. Let's say the total came to 200.00. So to be able to manage costs he will sell his eggs to people in area online ect. What do I have in my flock already. I have baby chicks example that have hatched. If I sell them to get 4-8 depending on breed to people who want an animal I will have so much to buy my turkey I want. We started with rabbits chickens ducks ect every year he makes his choices. I hold on to so much to feed my family. I want a new toy I want a bike I need a new outfit. Ect everything a price. Just raising a pet is a choice a candy bar is a choice. School supplys is a choice. You wouldn't go to work at a job without proper tools. School you need books paper ect animals you need to provide for them.ect

You can use Nitrogen also. Any gas that doesn't have oxygen in it will cause an extremely quick and painless death.

My husband will due what is right for these house. If he feels like somethings not right for these house hold. Then he will provoke parental controls he has control of media. He has a choice who he allows us to be around. It's good parenting . We will school or child's on livestock and turkeys.

Your phone let you get a huge amount out this time....

If you have something that kills chickens here is no sense bringing a turkey home. Turkey as poults are harder to raise and die faster than chicks...

Ok, I'm no expert, but I'll try to answer some of the questions the others didn't already cover. I don't know what problems you're having with chickens, but turkeys are pretty similar. Medications that are used on one kind of bird can pretty much be used on any bird. Hatching problems are similar.

Most hatcheries are going to have a minimum of birds you need to buy. Turkeys tend to be more sensitive when young, so they need those extra bodies during shipping to stay warm. It's very hard or mostly impossible to tell jakes from jennies until they are older, that's why they are straight run.

You'll pay more by buying older birds, but you'll know what you are getting.

Hope this is some help.

10 eggs pipped and nothing hatched yet. Chirping, pecking and apparently, a lot of napping. I need to take my foster puppies to meet some folks, so that's probably what they are waiting for.
