You are just finding this out? Yes they can get beards and it is not as low a percentage as some think. I have 2 bearded Blue Slate hens. Memphis' Bourbon Red hen Annie has a beard.

This is why G&F regulations allow for the taking of bearded hens during spring turkey seasons.

They get beards but they are not as long or heavy as the Toms beards.....It is more like the beards the girls you use to date in college had....
