its ok, pine shavings are betterIs timothy hay ok for a bedding for turkey poults?
Sorry to hear that JR... Best wishes from my family to yours. Its not so much the birds,I have some serious family health issues that are going to be taking up progressively more of my time and focus
In addition to molding, they'll eat it. Agree with DL, I use pine shavings or saw dust. It seams a lot of my friends use Agricultural Peat--but I've never tried it.its ok, pine shavings are better
hay molds VERY quickly, pine actually has antimicrobial oils in it so it is much better
any help on hatching turkey eggs? have one that has made a small hole in the shell but has not progressed any further it moves and rocks the egg ,cheeps so i knoe it is still alive ..but i dont know how long to wait to intervine?
thank you this is the first time i have incubated turkeys and very excited ..this is the first year we have gotten fertile eggs!Very cool! It can take 24 hours to hatch from zip, after that if it hasn't made any progress I'd check on it.
