Lol, poor Dingleberry! Did she get down yet?

I can't wait to get home and see my flock. Apparently, my geese escaped their pen yesterday and one of my young toms keeps getting out lol.

We're sitting here at the Portland airport now, just waiting to fly home. It was a great week, but we're ready to go home now.
I'm sure your birds will be glad you're back. It's amazing how they welcome you home.:thumbsup

Arrived home to find Annie's red feathers all over the place. Poor dear. I always feel sorry for them when they molt. My chickens are doing a rather slow molt. And Daisy is holding tight.

Aurora...sounds like your family had a great time! It's beautiful there.

It appears we will never know if Dingleberry got out of the tree or is living there forever.

I too am waiting to hear the fate of the little Dingleberry. Also, did any Elderberry's ever hatch out??

Next door they are renovating a house. They just spread some extra dirt in the front yard. The girls immediately eyed the dirt patch. Then promptly dove in for a bath. Contractors started arriving for work. Girls didn't care. Contractors must have spent 20 minutes just watching the girls. They really got a kick out of watching the goofs taking a dirt bath. Lots of pictures were taken. But they were uber impressed when I called them & they hopped up & followed me to the backyard. I maintain they are better trained than most of the dogs in my neighborhood. Most people don't understand why they don't run/fly away. LOL!!

I just finished a good half hour on the deck listening to an interesting chorus. The Barred Owl is at my neighbors place hooting... for each time she hoots, the Tom's gobble back. This went on for at lest 30 minutes and she's at least a half mile away... Could it be that the Toms are reminding her she nearly perished last time visiting my pasture? :caf
