And my chickens avoid the hose or sprinkler but forage in the rain. Turkey's run for cover like little girls!
Feedman...my turkeys quit laying 3 weeks ago. Finding bourbon feathers about. Daisy is holding tight. Every chicken I own is molting too. Earliest molting I've seen here. Rather odd.
I have a lot of early molters too. I wonder if it's due to the cooler temps we've had here this summer. Only gone above 90 a few times. And we've had a lot more rain than usual.e morning a month early. Usually they'll molt at end of August.
It appears we will never know if Dingleberry got out of the tree or is living there forever.

Sorry! I can't believe it's Wednesday already, and I haven't read forums since Sunday!

I have been trying to make a point of doing actual stuff around here instead of being on my phone so much.

The tree Dingleberry came down about 3:00 on Sunday. So I estimate she was up there for 7 hours!

Memphis, I did get poults from Elderberry! 9 have hatched so far. I'm so pleased he wasn't a dud. And it's possible he is a pencilled Sweetgrass! (That's what a guy on Turkey Genetics 101 said.) From him and Swan (blue Palm) I got 4 palms, 2 Sweetgrass and 1 that kind of looks Sweetgrass. If he is indeed Sweetgrass, then he must also be split to Narragansett.
With my narri hen, he has only produced 2 bronze so far. But narri and bronze are kind of hard to tell apart at first.
I have four more eggs in lockdown and then I am turning off my incubator for the year.
