A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I got three poults from my last four eggs. Well, if the two I had to assist survive, that is. They were glued stuck, so they would have died if I hadn't helped them out. Then they just laid there on their backs and couldn't get up, so I figured they were non-viables. After a few hours, I realized they were so encased in dried goo that it was preventing them from moving. Gave them warm water baths and now they are upright and look like they might make it. Unless those feet are wonky.

I think they'll be ok, do you have any electrolytes or vitamins you can give them?

Yeah, I can do that.

I made orthopedic booties for their feet out of medical tape. If the feet are straight in the morning, I will try giving them to my broody hen. The one that hatched on its own is already under her. I don't think she realized I put it there. She's in for a surprise in the morning!
