A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

Jus a lil fun this mornin. Cletis in all his glory :lau:eek:. His lil road runner is never far away. Hubby said he came out this mornin struttin his goods early. I think it is because the white tom showed his stuff the other day. So now poor boy needs make sure he is the macho man.

Hey gang! Well I am happy to report that our black turkey poult is getting big and is very healthy. I am still not sure if it's a tom. It struts, chases the rooster away and today it mounted one of the turkey hens for the second time. Believe I heard a gobble once but never again. I took some pics today to see what you all think. Got it back in June and was told it was 2 weeks old. Oh the other poult with the slipped tendon died a few weeks ago. Not sure what happened to it just found it dead one morning. It had been acting fine and seemed pretty healthy except for the leg. So any guesses on this mystery bird would be great!! Thanks

If that's not a male bird, it must be incredibly confused. Therefore, I'mma guess it's a very male bird.

P.S. the hen looked either bored or satisfied, can't tell which.

Looks like a tom to me, too. If it isn't, you have other problems. :D

I will have to keep an eye on my hens in the spring - and see if they appear satisfied or bored.
