Peanut buddah kisses anyone? :)

Out in the yard spending time with the girls this morning. Enjoyed watching Daisy bug hunting. She creeps around really slow...then zap...gets her bug. Quite the hunter. Annie on the other hand spends most of her time lolling around in a dust bath. Or raiding the chickens treadle feeder. Took her awhile to figure it out. But she has it down pat now

My last poult to hatch has fops and I think it' because he is to lazy to stand up. Put him in a cup with paper towels so he can strengthen his legs and balance all he does is work the paper towels to the bottom sets on his butt and puts his legs against the cup wall. Looks like he' kicked back in a recliner. Take him outta the cup he goes like mad til he lies his balance and then it's on his back just kicking.

1 hen that has been broody lost her mind wouldn't eat or drink much even when kicked out of the nest. Was dead tonight the hen that was co brooding is now major upset as when i got dead hen out I kicked her out and tossed all the eggs. Left her nothing but roost poles to set on.

@Auroradream26 Mister Is a good looking tom.

Wow! Mister has really turned into one handsome Tom!

Cute goat! Goats are such characters!

Thank you, I agree! He's still pretty sweet and will come get a hug as long as he's sure I'll protect him from Romeo and Tommy. They don't like to share me lol

Thank you! I love him :) I'm sorry you lost one of your hens. Pebbles tends to scare me when she broods because she refused to get up and eat. This year I have her chicks a little early so she wouldn't get that far again. So far, it's worked this year.

I want one!!!!!
You can't have one. They really are not a domestic bird and they are tropical. The last time I checked they also run about $1500 each if you can even find someone selling them. We know you live where it is lots warmer than some of us but you still don't live where it is warm enough for them in the winter. They are very susceptible to all the diseases that your chickens and ducks can live with, but those diseases will kill them.

Oh well. . want in one hand and squat in the other and see what happens first right :lau

We are still setting record highs down here. Girls, turkeys & chickens, all have shade, plenty of water, wading pools & fans. And they are still all panting & holding their wings out. Even got my sprinkler out yesterday so Daisy could play in it. However, when we went for our evening stroll, she spied a sprinkler across the street & made a bee-line right to it. Neighbor likes the girls, luckily, so we sat on his front porch while the girls played in the sprinkler. Ended up with several other neighbors giving up their evening walks to just sit & watch the turkeys. Even ended up with a few kids playing in the sprinkler with the girls. Impromptu porch party. My neighbor started handing out beers. Had to literally carry a wet Daisy home. She wanted to stay past her bedtime. Annie was ready for bed...she had enough & walked up to me yapping. She's such a party pooper!! Funny how Daisy will go with the flow, but Annie has a strict schedule!
