A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

You might be right CherMoz....one bird standing there screaming at us & the other running around in the sprinkler like a goofball....think Busch would consider replacing the Clydesdales?

We are still setting record highs down here. Girls, turkeys & chickens, all have shade, plenty of water, wading pools & fans. And they are still all panting & holding their wings out. Even got my sprinkler out yesterday so Daisy could play in it. However, when we went for our evening stroll, she spied a sprinkler across the street & made a bee-line right to it. Neighbor likes the girls, luckily, so we sat on his front porch while the girls played in the sprinkler. Ended up with several other neighbors giving up their evening walks to just sit & watch the turkeys. Even ended up with a few kids playing in the sprinkler with the girls. Impromptu porch party. My neighbor started handing out beers. Had to literally carry a wet Daisy home. She wanted to stay past her bedtime. Annie was ready for bed...she had enough & walked up to me yapping. She's such a party pooper!! Funny how Daisy will go with the flow, but Annie has a strict schedule!

Annie and Snitch would make great bedfellows...

Well rain on my parade :hit

I didn't figure that they were actually attainable For all of those reasons. But man that is one gorgeous bird :drool

Oh well. . want in one hand and squat in the other and see what happens first right :lau

I think we all dream of having one of those gorgeous beauties but we never will. We have to just settle with what we can find. My Pebbles is close lol

Pebbles sure is close!! She's just beautiful with her irridesent feathers!

Your right Ralphie! Annie has her schedules to adhere too! AND has a righteous sense of the way things are supposed to be! And boy do I here about it if we deviate! Staying up late at an impromptu porch party greatly upset her world! Daizy would have danced all night!

Something is wrong with Pirate. She's acting off and seems a little wobbly. I've noticed that she hasn't been escaping and free ranging lately like she usually does. I separated her tonight and I'm going to start treating with Chorus in the morning. Maybe with all the rain, cocci?

Oh no...Aurora, I hope she'll be ok. Obvious questions...is her poop normal? Have you checked her crop? Is she eating & drinking. Any signs of a sinus infection?

No signs of sinus infection, nothing in her crop that I could feel. She feels lighter than she used to so she may not be eating much. I haven't seen her poop to check it but now that she's separated, I should be able to see. I'm really rather worried about her. She has no obvious injuries and I didn't see any mites or lice on her.

Well, we're supposed to go into lockdown today, and lost power last night, so I've got the incubator plugged into my electric car. Here's hoping the roads are clear before that battery dies!
Oh boy... I candled the eggs before going into lockdown this evening and saw no movement in any of them. Do they get too constricted to move much at this point, or do I probably have a bunch of dead eggs on my hands?
