The broody bunch, if the baby is a girl, may be Susie or Kimmy lol. I don't know that I'll ever have a Chucky or Dill though. I've got enough boys!

Anybody seeing their birds start to molt? Mine seem to be holding tight. Last year they molted really early & we had unusually cold weather. The year before they molted very late & we had a Minnesota summer for a winter.

Oh and Lucky is great. He's outside with the meat turkeys now. It's been super hot so they are out during day and in outdoor brooder at night.

My turkeys seem to be in molt here.... I do hope that this means a hard winter. We Need the snow. If we have another winter like last year's we are toast..... there is no reserve water left in any of the reservoirs. AND without water our farmers and ranchers are going to be in serious trouble.

Most of my adults have started their molts. Some pretty sad pathetic looking turks right now lol. By the end of the month they should be shiny and new! Can't wait for good photo shoot!

My favourite young tom from the grow-outs. They were just some fun mutt eggs I bought on a whim this year. He might be sticking around.

Romeo and Tommy have new pictures feathers and tail feathers coming in. Cuddles is bad, she NEEDS a good molt. They're all either working on it it coming close

I hope you get lots of snow/rain! I wish I could send some of ours to you . We've been stuck inside most of the summer with an overdose of rain and dealt with some crazy flooding all around our area. There were even fears that the dam in town would fail :/

Been dry in Memphis too. Odd thing is the weather imbaciles keep predicting rain & nothing shows up. Seems to fizzle out.

Migrated to Ste Genevieve today. Nephew getting married in St. Louis this weekend. Huge wedding with the reception at "the club".
Oh sigh.....

My sitter is taking care of the girls while I'm gone. She came over last night for a beer. She also noticed Daisy acting like a pidgeon. Don't know why shes flying around so much. Guess shes just in the mood. That or she's planning the great escape. My sitter thinks she just feels good with the weather not as hot. Annie doesn't fly. I dont think she realizes she can. Maybe Daisy is rubbing her beak in the fact she can fly and Annie can't/won't. I sure wish I knew what goes on in those little turkey brains.
