On the early morning of the 8th of dec 2018 there was a successful use of the turkey alert program executed somewhere in colorado..... the word from the scene is that at approximately 5:45 the turkey alert was heard throughout the surrounding valley and within a few short moments the appointed human exited the adjoining domicile with protective equipment and resuced the turkeys from the offensive owl who thought it had found an easy meal deal. Early reports indicate the only loss was a pile of feathers that came off a confused turkey hen when in a hastened daze she picked a fight with an innocent ladder that was simply standing in the corner. More details to follow. So far it appears the threat has flown away with a bewildering look

What happened to the owl? Did it manage to escape unscathed per federal regulations? Or did it fail to see where it was flying and run into a tree or wire and suffer fatal injuries as so often happens?

When the appointed human went into the coop to investigate the commotion and flying feathers that made up the ladder attack on the poor confused hen the owl made a stealthy escape. It was heard complaining about the poor quality of the turkey buffet as it left.... I swear

Duh, I assumed cat because I employ watch cats around here.... My Tom (turkeys) are too good o actually protect anything.

Well considering I couldn't remember if the gun was loaded..... I have no other story..... I even failed to acquire a picture for future proof it was an owl.
