At what age do the toms need to be split up?

They can be kept together as long as they are not with hens. If hens are involved they should be separated before breeding season. In your area, breeding season should start in February.

well i got snow this morning, my poults didn't want to step outside their warm enclosed portion of their pen today, my trio of pygmy goats were all watching me from the comfort of their "nest box" (it was a nest box i originally built for a peahen, but the peahen never liked it, but the goats loved it), and my pair of Rouen ducks were excited to see me walking out there with a bucket of warm water, a scoop of scratch grains, and a few cabbage leaves for them, everything is pretty calm today, aside from the snow, and cold temps
