A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

So, any thoughts on my molters? Other than we aren't having a summer and going directly into winter??

Raining & in low 50's. Not pretty!

Let girls out before the rain. They were flapping & yapping. Blossom was eating something. I was sitting on a bench. Decided to call her over. Working on my theory about her being so vocal. So I called her. Dam bird walked over & started yapping. Grabbed her & set her on the bench next to me. Petted her head, gave her a shoulder rub. She fell asleep....hanging head & all. She's just a big baby looking for attention. Marigold, not to be left out, flew into my lap. About knocked me out with her wings....again! Daisy noticed & came to pull her tail. Marigold got down, Daisy hopped up. Daisy is a jealous girl! But at least she knows how to hop in my lap without injuring me.

Fred....wish you could see what sweet big babies the girls turned into. If your ever in the area...
They actually surprised me with how friendly they've become. Still working on desensitizing them to grazing out front. There are alot of things that worry them. But I think they are starting to catch on. They keep an eye on their fearless leader, Daisy. Nothing seems to bother that bird. Dogs, people, cars....she doesn't care. She'll even go for a golf cart ride. So maybe the young birds will figure it out. I will say....Daisy keeps an eye on the sky. If she sees something, she has a high pitch whine. If close enough she'll go stand on the porch. Or stand by me.

Still not nice. But I think the rain has stopped. Tried to get the coonhound out...but he's curled up in his chair snoring. He had an egg on his feed this morning. Guess he's still sleeping off his big breakfast.
So let the girls out. Little darlings went running down into the yard. Goobers. They do have fun.

Memphis... I have a lapper.
Lord is he ever getting heavy!

Shaw....they sure like to cuddle. Big babies! Mine always tried to lay on me. Only half of him sort of fits in my lap. He also curls up next to me....always wanting to touch
Especially on these cold rainy days. He's extra cuddly.
I was holding the grandbaby earlier and he was giving me the saddest eyes.
That baby had his Mama's lap and he had to lay on the cold hard floor. 😂

But he's all happy again now. 😆
