I caught part of that storm. It rained all day long on Monday but the snow was higher up ( I'm only at 3500 ft here, r2elk is definitely higher up even though he's south of me)

No snow. Took Daisy for a stroll. We've been hiding. She was so happy. Kept twittering & ate her weight in weeds. Had a few neighbors wander by. I swear she waved at them! She misses her little fan club. And she just smiled the whole time. Yes....my talented girl can smile. She's just a funny bird. I think she'd rather hang with people vs other turkeys. I think because she likes the attention & pets. Hey....I don't mind a neck massage.

Indeed I did. And then I told them they were turkeys, lol.

And then I told my local poultry friends about it. Pretty sure one of them is the one who went in and bought the rest of them. I asked about it the next time I went in and the employee I told apparently forgot to tell anyone else that they were turkeys, so they never changed it. So I really hope it was someone I told who bought the rest, or they were in for a surprise when their 'leghorns' started to grow up.

I had a surprise when I bought “white leghorn pullets” from Tractor Supply, and within a week they started getting big and fat! I wouldn’t have knowingly saddled myself with Cornish crosses. But at least they were on clearance for $1 each. Then I got a friend to help me process them when the time came, and it all ended fine.
