A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

I have some. Dig them up.

I also have chokecherries, and black cherries.
I have no pin cherries here although they sure do resemble the Nanking Cherries that I do have.

I tried growing black cherries but none of them ever took. The Evans Balis on the other hand need picked and turned into pies and jam.

@R2elk , have you ever seen a Sweetgrass poult hatch out all yellow? I got the first one that’s missing it’s Sweetgrass stripe down its back. Makes me wonder if the parents aren’t pure.

I’ve had ones in the past that had very faint stripes, and those ones turned out to be blues. I don’t know if it’s possible for the stripe to be so faint that you can’t see it. I ruffled through the down, and the skin does not appear to have any stripe either.

I often have Sweetgrass poults that the stripe is very hard to see. Sometimes it is easier to see when they are a little older.

If you have a tom that is carrying a hidden Narragansett gene, it is possible to hatch out a Royal Palm hen. That is one possible explanation for an all yellow poult.

Ok, I’ll be keeping an eye on it.

Yeah, I thought either that, or possibly the tom and the hen might both be carrying recessive white.

There is a guy on my waiting list that might buy it, but if he does, I’m sure he will give me updates.
