Goat food has a lot of sodium, which is bad for turkeys if they eat too much. I don't know about snack blocks. Is it safe for turkeys to eat snack blocks for goats? My turkeys go visiting the next door neighbors and they have goats is why I ask. My turkeys seem to eat anything .
Porter's site says that the Nebraskan is homozygous for black winged bronze and spotted. So I was glancing through some of the color listing on Porter's website and came across the Nebraskan variety. Could these be connected with the Harvey Speckled variety from Europe? Apparently, unless there's some old hermit out there breeding them unknown, Nebraskan turkeys are extinct. They do seem pretty similar to the Harvey speckled, though!
Looks like it might just be one of those dog harnesses with the handles and tightened with those weird ball bungees to keep it in place? I use a dog harness on mine when I would take her places but she could slip out of it if she resisted. Id think you'd have to have a custom made harness specifically for turkey anatomy. Maybe could find some on etsy.Does anyone know where to get a harness like the one this turkey is wearing? I'm thinking about putting turkey on a tie out. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/female-turkey-attacks-me.1485638/
