He's absolutely beautiful! But not what you want to see near your coops!
I don't have a problem with them. The poultry small enough to be in danger are shut in at night. There are plenty of Collared Doves, voles, mice and skunks to keep him occupied. I had a major vole problem in the garden this year withing 10' of where he is sitting.

He is keeping an eye on the wild hen. She made sure that she is on the roosts underneath the netting tonight.

Could this guy be a b'b blue Narragansett? He's got the bronze type wing barring but it's not very predominant. What do you guys think?
This is a Red Slate. The barring is usually not very visible even in pure bb birds.

I added a few more pictures of the different varieties to my website (~20).
Blue Narragansett pictures can also be found there.
They have a lighter color (especially primary covers and tail).
