'Well, why are you here? I don't think I've met you before.'

"I'm here, I'm there, I gather."

Raven nodded.

Brookchick held her lamp aloft, while the shaking appeared now and then, sporadically.
She peered into small cracks inthe rock, but eventually the sound led her to the back of a small cavern, where something glowed brightly.

"It was a pleasure meeting you, but I must be leaving." The patch of 'fog feathers' faded away. (She's joining soon.)

The striped finch flew closer.

'Goodbye, fog feathers,' Raven said, giggling to himself. (okay, that's nice)

Brookchick turned around to see where the finches went. They were small enough to fit inside, but she was not. She had grown like her father.

Mist flew crookedly back to an old tree.

The striped finch was the first to fly in.

The striped finch was the first to fly in.

Raven peered after Mist.

Brook watched from the outside, as the light in the corner flickered brighter than ever. The shaking sound was pleasant and festive as ever.

A fog rolled in and Mist disappeared.

The striped finch hovered over the light.

A howl snapped the air in two.

(A howl snapped the what in two?!)

Brook held the reactor lamp steady, peering into the little hole while watching the striped finch. 'What's behind the light?' she called out.

(GAH! Stupid computer messed my writing up. But I fixed it.)

The striped finch looked over the light.

Brookchick looked on nervously, her lamp shaking slightly.
A pair of eyes glowed from behind the lights, and however much the finch looked, it couldn't see through the radiance to whatever the eyes belonged to.

Raven's head snapped around towards the howl, and he stepped up from out of the tunnel .The moon was bright, and it cast a silent, surreal light over the land.

(*Bows*)

The finch flew closer and squinted.

There was another howl. It wasn't a coyote, it wasn't exactly a wolf, and it wasn't really a dog.
