Squirrelpaw stood at the stream to get a drink when suddenly the water turned blood red, she screamed and jumped back, not sure what was happening. Suddenly the dead body of a bird washed up on the shore, followed by another until three bodies were lying on the rocks. She dragged them out of the water and put them in a pile beside the stream, then went to find Moonstar.
