Suddenly the shadows were all around him, the wind ruffled his feathers as they ran past him. The whispering was louder now, and it continued getting louder and louder until all other sounds of the forest were cut off. The whispered created dark pictures in his mind, pictures of his family suffering and burning at the feet of another bird, but he couldnt see its face.

"Meadowsweet is an herb that relieves pain, and the medicine hen whom I last knew told me that it even helps with coughing and headaches." He replied, trying to keep the large plant in his mouth while talking.

He gasped and his eyes flew open. He was in a strange, dark cave, with a large chicken hovering over him. "Who- who are you?" he clucked, trying to stand. But, he couldn't. His right leg was sprained terribly.
