The Shadows circled all the chickens in the group, blinding them with their black, smoke like bodies. The air was freezing and their breath came out in little clouds

Brookchick looked towards the light, trying to cheer her up, but she wasn't taking any of it. Raven looked on with interest to see what would happen.

The light sighed, and started to fade into the distance. She felt she was obviously not going to find her destiny here at all, another place where she'd just chased after the wind.
