she shook her head, letting out a whimper, a pool of blood forming from the wound in her neck

Brook frowned, looking away for a second, before remembering the herbs that that rooster... what was his name again? had shown her the other day. 'Come to the med den,' she said. 'We've got some herbs that could help with that.'

(Was it called Meadowsweet? I don't remember all that well. lol)

Brookchick flew into the den and searched around for her ground up Meadow herb. She took a pinch of the powder and rushed back outside, placing it gently into the wound, hoping it wouldn't sting. She could see the blood start to clot up already.
