A Christmas Rant

regardless of what religion you believe in, the point remains the same.

christmas isn’t a celebration of god’s son for everyone, so you can’t poo poo on other people for the way they choose to celebrate.

and you can’t possibly offend me, i don’t take offense to fairy tales.
Christmas is by definition a celebration of the birth of Christ.

You celebrate it, or not. Get off your donkey. Hard to tell who’s whom.

i’ll give you the fact that it has its roots in the church but that doesn’t mean everyone who puts up a tree and gathers with family is doing so to celebrate the birth of christ.

to think so, and to be outraged that others don’t is so wildly egocentric that the whole argument becomes a bit hypocritical, don’t you think?

Agreed completely! It's Christmas. The birth of Christ. :love
And on this I agree.

I disagree with your rant though. You’re missing the intent of the movies.

Teach those around you about Christ and why he’s celebrated. Teach about St Nicholas and why everyone goes nuts selling the holiday.

Then enjoy the movie for its intent. Reflection and hopefully a moral message to settle on you like a blanket in winter.

this is the internet. it’s public. when you post on the internet your words are out there for any and everyone to see, including people who don’t see things your way.

biblical scholars maintain the birth of christ anywhere between april 1 and september 30 of the year 4BC

december 25 was originally a pagan holiday celebrating the birth of the sun that christian missionaries adopted.

again, my point is only that you should celebrate the holiday the way you want to without telling anyone else how to celebrate theirs.

Ok. You’re google skills are up to par.

Yet you’re missing the point….. still.
