Sky howled and pushed and 2 more tiny pups out, they were boys, but something was wrong, one pup yipped and squealed. But the other pup was lifeless! She licked the lifeless pup and whined. “Aki, something is wrong.” she cried

Aki whined softly “He is dead, my love.”

Alaya watched horrified. She stared scared.

ASkyuka let out a mournful howl. And snuggled the two remaining pups.

Aki picked up the lifeless pup and walked out of the cave…


“alaya, will you bring me some food?” sky asked

Alaya watched him go. "what is he doing" she asked Fireate.

Fireate pulled a piece of meat off the deep and brought it to Sky.

Alaya went to the entrance of the cave to watch.

Aki disappeared into the dark forest to bury his son. It was daytime now but the sun didn't shine. He blamed the humans for everything and his anger swelled to a raging boil as he finished burying the pup. He growled and raced towards the city, with murder in his heart.


Back at the den the pups suckled from Sky. She watched them crawl and toddle about the cave.
