I have the one EE she came from a Washington friend layed nice double egg the first day now close to a month later and no eggs silkies have not given me any but they are not that old the ameracauna gosh hoping not all cockerel :confused:
 
Right! Some of my duds have reasons three are molting but the worst molter still popped out an egg on the roost, bless her bald butt. The faverolles though no reason at all. The one can and has laid the other shows no signs of even thinking about it. I've only got my mean little dominicker laying with any kind of regularity.
Proving, duds will be duds....
 
My "dud" just started so I'm out.

I have heard that silkies and ameracaunas can be late to lay. Photos please!
 
I'm happy for you, I'm just a little bitter that I've been measuring the butt cheek gap on one hen for at least two months with my finger and I've got nothing but a sense of closeness and and a dirty finger out of the deal. :lau

I have not attempted to do this yet, maybe after a bottle of wine...
