A contest for the duds!

I'll join the dud contest. 3 girls, 2 RSL and 1 EE. Both RSL's are laying, 1st RSL laid on 8/26/17, the 2nd on 9/2. But my EE, Noodle, is 28 weeks, going on 29, and no egg. I race to the coop every day, 3-4 times, just waitin' for the blue egg. The EE's hatch mate (who's owned by a co-worker), she started laying 3 weeks ago. What the heck!

Five of my six are laying. I have a mixed group, but my RIR and BR girls are almost every day. My EE's are every other day.

Bebe', my 28 week old Black Copper Marans is taking her time. Nothing yet. She doesn't do the squat yet, though she is very *red* with beautiful wattles and comb.

I noticed that the other hens kind of shun her -- like high school senior cheerleaders would ignore the nerdy 7th grader who hadn't developed yet. I keep singing, "Girl, you'll be a woman, soon....." to her, but it's not helping.

I've got a SLW named "Emmy" who I consider a dud. It took her 9+mo's to lay her 1st egg & when she finally did, it was a soft shell. Every egg shes ever laid has been a soft shell & no amount of extra calcium changes it. Luckily she doesn't lay too often because those softies are a mess & encourage the cursed egg eating.
