A couple of coop basics?

Just built a coop. The people door swings in. It is about 6" above the coop floor, and so are the chicken doors. Litter stays in coop and door moves freely.

It may be a good idea to nail rungs horizontally across the ramp with a few inches between then, to provide steps for the chickens to walk on so that they don't slide. This may or may not be needed, depending on how steep the ramp is.

Great idea! I may need to do that in my tractor too! I can't wait to get started on this coop. I have the door, I'll get pictures of that later. It's good though. Only $5 off of Craigslist. Has 6 little windows at the top.
