A damn dog chased my chickens away, will they return?

Yes, all girls came home. My husband actually rounded them up. He said no more letting them out in the yard. I hate to keep them penned up, but we don't know if that beagle will return now that he knows about our birds.
Can't call animal control. We have to keep a low profile because having chickens violates our local ordinance. Naughty birds!
