No wounds just pressure. It was really unlike her and out of character. Still no word back from the vet on advice. She also still hasnt peed. I took her out again about 10 minutes ago. I think the shelter just didnt care. They usually post all of their adoptions on facebook saying "____ found a forever home!" They didn't do that with her. It's like they know she will be back. I dont want to cause her more psychological trauma by bringing her back. This is going to be difficult to decideThis story has gotten to the ugly stage, and I think she's not going to work out for you, or anyone. Do you have wounds, or was it 'pressure', not punctures? If wounds, get them treated. If pressure, the next episode will likely be worse. It's not about 'night fears' or whatever, it's about her response to you over her concerns. And owning your bed? Wow!
This 'rescue' group placed a dog who shouldn't have been sent out in the first place, very likely, and/ or they have no idea how to evaluate temperament, or just don't care.
Every dog can't move into a normal family situation! Some need to be managed by experts, and those experts have enough to do, and can't take on every 'difficult' individual.
I hope you can get help where you live, and that things work out the best for you and your family.
