A feed question: chick starter for how long?

I feed all flock feed but provide oyster shell grit for my hens. I start chicks with chick starter. There are usually good reference charts on the backs of the feed bags if you're in the store and just not sure.
 
It is available, but it's about double to triple the price if I get it at the store as opposed from directly from my local mill!

You can always read labels & see how they differ. However, for me the most important thing is the protein being at least 20%. I know one difference can be that chick feed is ground finer. My chickens prefer crumbles over pellets.
