I can't remember the source but someone suggested that if you compare your ducklings' feet - the larger ones are male. It's always worked for me.

I ordered some from that hatchery, yeah! Their minimum order is now ten and you have to pay for express shipping with the ducks.

Well, I can tell you that it was $80 for ten ducklings! But he agreed to give me only solid black ducklings (no pieds) and since I am extremely picky about what I like and don't like, I will gladly pay for what it has taken me forever to find!
