Did not think any would go broody and actually set! She kept disapearing for days.. finally found her nest, with 13 eggs in it..
Relocated her and them to a dog kennel in the garage with food and water... will have to see what happens...
And picked up 4 new chicks, aged about 6 weeks old... mom(s) un known breed, could be one or more of the following breeds, EE, red sex link, blue(black?) sex link, or gold laced wyandotte. Rooster was a blue wheaten americanna...Hoping the blue feathered one is a rooster, to let be with my EE hens, but if not will keep it, hoping the lightest in coloring is a hen. The jury is out on the other two..
I am pretty sure the darkest is a cockerel, and if so he will be outta here, one way or another:cd the last... well no clue there either, lol...
the one I hope is a pullet...
One I think is a rooster..
And, lastly, the one I have no idea on
They bring my flock to 27 birds,
Tara
