a few questions - duck eggs in lockdown

Egg 6 also didn't make it :( We have egg 8 left but I don't have much hope for that baby either but I will still be checking for an internal pip, I see a bit of shadowing but I'm still worried due to how theres still a bit room left in the egg and that weird dark part in the egg.. may have to try to find someone with call ducklings so Lamb won't be lonely or I'll just have to raise a solo duckling again

I just wonder if it has internally pipped just a little. I had a duckling last year who internally pipped but then essentially gave up. When I opened the aircell, he was alive but his bill was just below the slit he had made into the air cell. So from candling, you wouldn’t realize be able to tell if he was through the aircell or not. I proceeded with a very slow assisted hatch and he was fine.

Ohh I never thought of that :( Wish I did, I would've probably been able to save the two babies that passed.
There is one more egg left that seems to be shadowing a bit but I'm worried since it has a little room left in the egg and this weird dark part (it's in the pictures I posted earlier but it's kinda hard to see) so I'm a bit nervous to assist.. it's aircell hasn't grown at all either, it's quite small.

It’s very risky so I wouldn’t tell anyone to do what I did - but I thought my duckling wasn’t going to make it so I took the risk.

I honestly didn't think egg 7 was going to make it due to how long it's been.. really wish I took a risk and helped it out.

Sorry it’s a bit blurry, but this is what my duckling looked like when I opened the aircell (and after I wetted the membrane so I could see veins). You can see the bill is just barely through.

Egg 8 is still alive but not moving as much. I'm thinking about opening the egg and seeing if I can help it although I don't think its gonna make it :( Should I even try?
