I'm not really sure, I'm new to all these chicken breeds. They are all at least half Barred Rock, because I believe that's what daddy is (please correct me if I'm wrong!) and either half Sussex or half RIR (or possibly NHR or RSL?).

I don't know anything about chicken genetics - but when I googled it I found this on the exalted fount of wisdom "Wikipedia."

"Two common varieties are the Black sex-link (also called Black Stars) and the Red sex-link (also called Red Stars). Blacks are a cross between a Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire rooster and a Barred Rock hen. Red sex-links are a cross between a Rhode Island Red or New Hampshire rooster and a White Rock, Silver Laced Wyandotte, Rhode Island White or Delaware hen. One example of a red linked breed is the Red Shaver. In Europe, the Cream Legbar (an actual true-breeding pure breed) and ISA Brown sex-links also exist."

Assuming the information is accurate - it doesn't sound to me like your chicks will be sex link. The hens in these scenarios are always the barred. But I know less than NOTHING - so maybe someone else has better info.

I do know that your Rooster and hen are gorgeous. And your chicks are TOO CUTE!

I noticed on the last picture that one of the black chicks has its wings quite developed and a good headstart on the other two. She is showing some tail development as well. I am in love with the blonde chick (no pun intended)
