Jet I hear you on the dumplin's... unfortunately that is one of the things that I just can't get the knack of, mine end up being Driplin', and yet is one of my all time favorites. Argh!
Moby... the story wasn't that bad, what annoyed me was having to 'listen' to them go on and on about the anatomy, uses, "scientific" stuff that I know from school and/or has been outlawed since or was downright WRONG and I know better... if they'd cut that stuff out it wouldn't have been that bad. Heck if I can make it through & understand Villette (Bronte) without speaking a word of French... and only using my E/F dictionary more than a couple times for real stumpers...
Ohhh speaking of which... the Dictionaries... I have no idea how many we have... or in how many languages. Latin, Greek, Hebrew, Welsh, Italian, French, Spanish, German, Native American.... to name a few... that's one DH and I both indulge in.
